Due to what appears will be an extended power outage today (Monday, May 22, 2017) in the Southwest Canon area, Lincoln School of Science and Technology will NOT be in session. Please do not send your children to school.

Please note, staff members need to stay home as well.

Low Cost Internet for Families and Seniors

To qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist, a member of the household must be a recipient of one of the following programs:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP); free or reduced cost lunch
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) of the NSLP
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) ( ≥ age 65 only)
Programs that do not qualify for Spectrum Internet Assist: Social Security Disability (SSD), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), and Social Security Retirement and Survivor Benefits are different from Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and do NOT meet eligibility requirements.

Lincoln School of Science and Technology's Tammy DeWolfe finalist for statewide principal award

Cañon City School District Superintendent George Welsh said in his 20 years as a superintendent, he's only ever nominated one other administrator for a prestigious statewide award for principals.

Tammy DeWolfe, the principal of Lincoln School of Science and Technology, became the second when he nominated her for the 2017 Colorado Association of School Executives' National Distinguished Principal Elementary for Colorado Award.

National Qualifying Congress Tournament at Discovery Canyon HS

This batch of Tigers just returned from a successful two days a the National Qualifying Congress Tournament at Discovery Canyon HS. Here's a rundown of how they did:

- Rochella Lamborn and Racheal Lamman were nominated for outstanding speaker.
- Racheal Lamman was the Presiding Officer in her chamber.
- Gillian Hardy won the outstanding speaker award.
- Alisha Chapman and Emily Reynolds were finalists and Competed in the Super Session.
- Matthew Logan and Ariana Garcia competed in the senate. Matthew is the 4th Alternate and Ariana Garcia is the 1st Alternate to the National Tournament in Alabama.
