The Canon City High School "Tiger Pride" bands have had a busy and successful 2012 spring performance season.

62 members of the band recently returned from a trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida. During their 5 day trip the band participated in a Disney Performing Arts recording clinic, where they rehearsed with a Disney music clinician and recorded a soundtrack to be included in a scene from the animated feature "Beauty and The Beast". The "Tiger Pride" Marching Band also participated in a Disney "Celebrate A Dream Come True" parade at the Magic Kingdom. The rest of the trip included seeing Cirque du Soleil's "La Nouba" show and spending a day swimming in the Pacific ocean in Cocoa Beach, Florida. It was a "trip of a lifetime" experience and our students did a fabulous job representing our community. The band would like to give their thanks to the Fremont RE-1 school board and central office/CCHS administration for their approval of the trip, the CCHS band parents for their financial support, and Berry Trucking Company for transporting our equipment to Florida.

Blossom Festival weekend was also a successful performance venue for the CCHS bands. Besides our band students working extremely hard during the 3 days of running the concert band festival, they also performed their best to complete a very successful school year.
