5 days a week, students come to school. Some of them take a bus to school, some of them are greeted by Cross Walk Guards. When students walk through our school doors, the Secretary knows almost every student by name. When the students are hungry, they come early for breakfast which is served by our smiling Nutritional Staff. Then the bell rings. The school starts for the day. Students sit in their classrooms ready to learn. The classroom floors are spotless because the Janitors vacuumed the night before, and the air is cool because the HVAC workers got the coolers running. The Teacher takes attendance and it is sent to the Health Tech. They open their books which were purchased by our I&A Staff and delivered by our Warehouse Staff. Students go about their day, but unbeknownst to them, are the SILENT HEROES who contribute to our students education. Behind each department, behind each school building, are a individuals who do their job and also go beyond what is expected of them. All for the students of Canon City Schools.
