CCHS 2011 Food Drive Success!

CCHS Teacher, Talmage Trujillo, agreed to have his long hair cut if students collected 150 turkeys. The turkey collection was a Thanksgiving Student Council project for Loaves and Fishes. Assistant principal, Lance Jackson, agreed to grow an afro if 200 turkeys were collected. Both goals were surpassed and over 250 turkeys were collected along with other food items. Great Job CCHS!

Pictured: School Secretaries, Wendy Marquis and Sandra Seifert, standing with Assistant Principal, Lance Jackson, show off their afros for "grow a fro day". They opted out of having a short doo like Mr. Trujillo.

Canon City High School collected 245 turkeys. The turkeys will be given to Loaves and Fishes for needy families. Great Job CCHS!!!
