Blossom Float

Dear Former McKinley Elementary Staff and Students,

This year is the 77th annual Music and Blossom Festival and the theme for the parade is “Celebration of Generations.” We would be honored to have you join us on Saturday, May 2nd to be a part of our parade float. We would love to have our float filled with alumni representing our celebration of generations from McKinley. Each person will have a sign that will show if they were a staff member or student and the specific years they were at McKinley. I look forward to hearing from you.

If you’d be willing to join us, please click on the flyer for details:

McKinley Elementary had their first Wildcat Grill in October and it was a huge success. The Wildcat Grill will be open one time a month for parents and students. 5th grade students help during the lunch to check on their visitors and help serve.  Our 5th graders are pictured here serving for the Febuary Wildcat Grill.

Our McKinley 3rd graders had a blast on their field trip to Diana's Pumpkin Patch and Corn maze!  Click here to view album .

We added a new webpage to display student writings and artwork.  Click on picture to check it out and sign the guest book.

 Student Safety!

A critical ingredient in the safe school recipe is the classroom response to an incident at school. Weather events, fire, accidents, intruders and other threats to student safety are scenarios that are planned and trained for by students, teachers, staff and administration.  Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is based on these four actions: Lockout, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter.

Parents, please read this SRP flyer to learn more. You can also get involved.  Check out
