"In The News!"
"Weather was cold, chili was hot, cinnamon rolls were fresh and the students were excited to share "school lunch" with their Grandma's, Grandpa's and other special adults during Nutritional Services 6th Annual Grandparents Day Luncheon. This year over 750 adults joined their students across the district to enjoy the famous homemade chili and cinnamon rolls prepared by the Nutritional Services Staff. The accompaniment of fresh fruit and vegetables were also a hit with students and adults alike. The students always enjoy this special day of showing the Grandparents the ropes of eating in the school cafeteria and each year more and more Grandparents join in on the fun...this year was our largest year yet.
This event is a great opportunity for grandparents to visit our schools and learn not only about school lunch, but about other daily activities that go on during the grandchild's school day. the time is spent eating and sharing stories about their grandchild's day. The Nutritional Services Staff had fun and we hope everyone else did too!! See you next year!"
