On Tuesday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m., the Harrison commons area turned into Dinosaur Valley! The 1st and 2nd grade music classes performed individual programs about dinosaurs under the direction of Wendy Hofmann. First graders shared historical facts about the Mesozoic Era as well as carnivores and herbivores. Second graders presented a musical with a special message about keeping our Earth clean.

Each quarter the staff at McKinley Elementary School holds an awards assembly for fourth and fifth graders who have attained excellent scholastic achievement. Students who have achieved no more than two B’s and the rest A’s get a certificate for Scholastic Achievement and students who have achieved all A’s receive the “A” Honor Roll certificate. Those students who have shown exceptional citizenship qualities, such as respect, responsibility, preparedness, promptness and caring for others, receive a special award for Good Citizenship. These students have worked very hard and we are proud to give them this recognition.
