Helping to guide the Tiger Class of 2023

Posted November 10, 2019 by The Pride - A sincere Thank You to these individuals who spent an entire day here at CCHS last week representing the Arts, Hospitality, and Education Pathway and the STEAM Pathway as well. They explained and outlined a bit of what they do in their careers and also took questions from the freshmen class. Those who were on stage for the day were: Beth Gafney - Retired Canon City School District teacher and administrator, Kari Jacobs - KRLN Radio, Andrew Smith - Bureau of Land Management, Daniel Pike - Bureau of Land Management, Daniel Coppa - Canon City School District Technology Specialist, Deanna Padilion - Canon City School District Technology Specialist, and Travis Payne - City of Canon City Water Treatment Plant. Canon City High School Gymnastics team head to State

Posted November 8, 2019 by The Pride - A big good luck, you got this, and you're gonna do great wish to these Tiger gymnasts as they head out to the State Gymnastics Meet at Thornton HS. Holli, Alyssa, Jaden, Abbie, Serah and Milli along with the coaching staff left just a bit ago for the biggest meet of the year. Girls you have put so much time, effort and dedication into getting to today so make sure you enjoy every minute of it all. Welcome to our new Board Members

Posted November 6, 2019 - We wish to congratulate Robin Reeser, Mike Near, and Beth Gaffney upon their election to fill our three open Board of Education seats.

Mrs. Reeser is a former accountant and educator who now works as a realtor. She has already served on the board for a little more than a year.

Mr. Near is a retired teacher who continues to serve as a substitute. He once served on the city council and also sat on the board of education for two terms from 2007 through 2015.

Mrs. Gaffney is a retired educator, having served as a teacher, coordinator, and school principal. She has also been deeply involved in our local CASA chapter.

They will begin their terms during our Monday, November 11th meeting, which starts at 5:30 PM at the district board room.

CCHS Tiger Pride earns 5th place finish at CBA Championships

Posted 11/4/19 - The Mighty Tiger Band shines bright tonight and earns a 5th place finish with a 72.70 at the CBA Championships. CCHS Tiger Band off to Grand Junction

Posted 11/3/19 - A very cool surprise for the band  students and staff this morning as they arrived to find they get to ride to Grand Junction on charter buses. Thanks to the CCHS Tiger Pride Band Boosters, Business and Patron Sponsors in the community, and the Cañon City School District for making this a possibility.
