Canon City Schools Work With Local, State National Organizations To Monitor COVID-19

Canon City Schools are working with local, state and national organizations to monitor the COVID-19 situation:
Canon City Schools will continue to coordinate efforts with Fremont County Public Health and Environment (FCPHE), Fremont County Emergency Management  the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE)  and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the COVID-19 global outbreak. Our communication and actions will be based on data and guidance that we receive from these organizations. We will also work closely with The Colorado Department of Education to access additional information and resources. On Tuesday, March 10, 2020 our Director of Support Services will be attending a regional meeting organized by FCPHE  to discuss COVID-19. This meeting is intended for community leaders and organizations to learn more about COVID-19, current status, plans and response. This meeting is not open to the public. It is a space for organizations to collaborate and develop a unified strategy to address COVID-19 to our populations. More information will be provided as appropriate after this meeting.

Additionally, to help keep everyone informed with the latest COVID-19 updates, please go to Coronavirus 2019 - COVID-19 Colorado. This site is updated regularly to provide the most up-to-date information pertaining to COVID-19 as well as strategies to keep yourself and others healthy. Canon City Schools will continue to follow  FCPHE and CDPHE’s guidance for COVID-19. Also Fremont County Public Health and Environment will update their Facebook page and communications as they receive new information.
