Weekly Update Week of October 2-6, 2017

This is a summary of the upcoming week from Principal Autobee.

Good afternoon, Harrison Families! This is a message from Principal Autobee with your weekly update.

I’m hoping that the forecast holds true and gives us some sun, at least for the next 4 days! The kids and staff are getting tired of the rain.

October is Fire Safety Month, so we will have a number of fire safety awareness activities on Monday. First, we will have a fire drill, followed by a puppet show for kindergartners on the stage at 8:50, then a fire safety presentation for the 5th graders at 9:25. Also, on Monday, please remember to turn in your fundraiser order forms and money. Monday is also Student Count Day. We need all students to school on time and present on Monday to be counted for our school funding formula.  At 3:15-4:00, there will be a middle school Battle of the Books Meeting in the Library, and at 3:30, volleyball will play against Horizon Middle School at Harrison.

On Tuesday, we will have Crazy Sports Fan Day! Dress in school-appropriate wild clothes. Colored hair and hats area allowed, but face paint is prohibited. Middle school students will be participating in the Healthy Kids Colorado Survey in their social studies classes, and from 3:15 to 4:30  there will be a Drama Club Meeting.

On Wednesday, volleyball and football teams will participate in playoffs as scheduled. There will be a PTO meeting at 6:00 in the Commons Area. All parents, guardians, and staff members are encouraged to attend.

On Thursday, beginning at 8:00, we will have fall picture retakes.

On Friday, pending good weather, Kona Ice will be at Harrison after school.

Thank you, everyone!  Have a wonderful evening!
