2023 Hurliman Scholarship Awardees: Chloe Martin & Brooke Watley

Chloe Martin, who will attend CSU in the fall, and Brooke Watley, who is currently undecided on where to attend, were awarded the 2023 Hurliman Scholarship. The Hurliman four-year college scholarship is open to Colorado residents who reside in Fremont County, Custer County, or Pueblo County. The applicant must be a high school senior who will attend an accredited U.S. college or university. 

Jack C. Hurliman and Edith E. HurlimanThe Hurliman Scholarship Foundation honors the memory of the late Jack C. Hurliman and his wife Edith E. Hurliman. They were long-time residents of Canon City, Colorado. 

Jack C. Hurliman was a Canon City physician for over 45 years. He owned the Colorado Hospital and oversaw its operation for more than 15 years. He was a City Councilman of Canon City and a 25-year member of the planning commission. 

Edith E. Hurliman lived in Canon City for almost 70 years and was a member of many local organizations. She was generous with both her time and money, aiding many local groups and charities.
