Principal's Message
I am so proud to be serving the Harrison School students, family and community as the principal! A little about me: I was a high school English teacher for four years in Brighton School District 27J, then I moved to Pueblo and became an elementary school counselor for a few years. My job transitioned and I became an administrator at a K-8 school, first as an Academic Support Specialist, then an Assistant Principal, and finally a Principal. After 11 years as a Principal, I moved into Human Resources, where I supported the implementation of Senate Bill 10-191 (Educator Effectiveness) in the district. Another K-8 school needed the support of a principal, so I left my job in Human Resources, and became the principal of a Turnaround School for almost three years. However, when the opportunity to come to Harrison School was presented, I could not it pass up, and I couldn't be happier!
I would like to thank the staff, students, and community for being so welcoming to me. My husband and I live in Pueblo West. We have five children all together: Dylan (26), Jesse (24), Alex (22), Mariah (19), and Julia (17). We have three dogs: Miles, Maxie, and Yuma and a new kitten Phoebe. We spend most of our spare time with our children and their activities, but we look forward to spending time camping very soon.
