Welcome to the Music Page!
Hello and welcome! My name is Mr. Kanapackis, and I am the Music Teacher here at Washington Elementary. We are fortunate to offer Music Education to every student Kindergarten through 5th grade as well as a Band and Choir Program. Through the support of the school staff and administration, our 5th grade band students are lucky to have rehearsals during the school day. And through the support and engagement of our families, we are able to offer an after school choir program to all 3rd through 5th graders interested.
Fifth grade Band lasts for a full year, with sign ups at the beginning.
Choir is broken up into two seasons - winter and spring. The winter season is for 4th and 5th graders and typically starts in September and ends in December. The spring season is for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders and typically starts in February and ends in May.
