CHECK LIST ITEMS FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION
K-12th Grade Check List Items
Proof of Address - Required for all K-12th Students. You will need to upload this in Home Address section of the Online Application. This is required for all students and must be complete.
If you do not upload proof into the application you must bring this to the school before school starts.
What are the best forms of proof of residency?
- Utility bill (electricity, gas, garbage, water, or sewer)
- Cable TV or internet bill.
- Telephone bill.
- Bank statement.
- Property tax bill.
- Mortgage statement.
Birth Certificate (Required for new students only) Click here for information on how to obtain a Birth Certificate. Birth Certificates are required to enroll into Canon City Schools. Please upload a copy of the Birth Certificate into the application or you can bring a copy of New Student Birth Certificates to the Registration Help Kiosk at the District Administration office 101 N 14th Street. (2024-2025 July 15-26th 8-4pm)
ALL students at ALL schools will have access to school meals at no cost. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us at 719-276-5813.
However, in order to ensure continued funding, we will be asking families to complete the Family Economic Survey during registration.
Please complete one for your family!
Possible benefits of completing the survey/meal benefits application:
- Increased “at risk” funding for our district. In previous years, the "at risk" factor contributed almost $2 million in additional funding.
- Waived college application fees
- Waived/reduced extracurricular and athletic fees
- Waived/reduced testing fees
- Waived/reduced technology and other school fees
- Reduced cost of other community services (internet, utilities)

If you do not have a Campus Portal account, you can sign up for one here. Proof of ID is required. Sign up for Campus Portal . Campus Portal provides real-time access to announcements, assignments, attendance, grades, schedules throughout the year. Please fill out and submit the following form.
