New "Connect" App

Dear Canon City Families,

We want to inform you about an important change in our school communication platform. SchoolNow is now fully merging with SchoolStatus Sites and Apps, creating a unified communication system for our school community.

What's Changing:

• SchoolNow Notifications is being integrated into SchoolStatus Sites and Apps.
• The two platforms are combining to create a more comprehensive communication app called Connect.
• We highly recommend downloading the SchoolStatus Connect App to continue receiving school communications. 
• Your previous SchoolNow app notifications will be phased out at the beginning of 2nd Semester.
• You will still need the Infinite Campus Portal App, this app has different features like grades, schedules, assignments, etc. The Infinite Campus Portal app is where you will be able to update/change your email and phone number. This info is pulled into the SchoolStatus Connect app, allowing communications to reach you based on your preferences. 

You Are in Control

• Messages come to you the way you want them. Set your preferred language and channel (text, email, or app notification) to tailor your experience.
• Guardians can customize their notification preferences. Here is a link on how to update your notification preferences.

Central Feed

• See all district, school, and classroom updates relevant to your student in a single view, from a single source.

Two-Way Messages

• Have one-to-one conversations with your student’s teacher and school staff via email, text message, or in our messaging app.
• Your account has already been created by the school. You should begin receiving communications via email and text message automatically. Follow the instructions to access your account and update your preferences. Download the optional app here
