Principal's Second Semester Message

Welcome to the second semester Falcon Families, I am writing to you just after the start of the 2nd semester for the 2022-2023 school year.  I hope that everyone had the best holiday break that they could and used the time to recharge and spend time with family and friends.

This is the start of our 2nd week of the new quarter and our second semester and to say that some things changed is an understatement.  When students returned to school last week they were all greeted with a new schedule for both Core and Life Skills classes.  We have 2 additional core classes at CCMS this year and this means that the schedules for students will rotate slightly depending on the quarter.

6th grade students started in a 5 core rotation with the addition of Spanish class, this is a new addition this year and is a class that students should have every year with the hope that some of them will be able to test out of Spanish when they enter high school as freshman.  We also have Lab science, this class will be new for our 8th graders this quarter.  This rotation also means that the 7th graders will change from a 5 core to a 4 core rotation.

This is a lot of moving parts, but it is part of our commitment to provide your children with the best and most varied experience possible at the middle school.  As parents your biggest change will be in what you see on Infinite Campus, new classes and grades.  Please if you have questions reach out to your teachers, the counselors or administration and we will do our best to help you out.

We are about to begin games for girls basketball and then shortly after that we will begin wrestling season.  Our coaches are working very hard to provide all the opportunity they can to your student athletes, help us support the students and come see our athletic events when you have the opportunity. CCMS students will also be presenting a play on the 17th and 18th of February, this will be a great performance you won’t want to miss.

Thank you for all that you do for your students, we are partners in this journey and we take that very seriously.  If you have questions, concerns or issues please let us know how we can help and continue to support you and your students.  Thanks for reading and GO FALCONS!!
