Cañon City: Recruiting Teachers by Harnessing Main Street’s Assets

In 2019, Cañon City leaders participated in a series of four meetings facilitated by The Civic Canopy, to explore how the rural Colorado school district might more effectively attract and retain high-quality staff. They discovered that a close-knit community can design high impact solutions to complex community challenges, when they work together towards a common goal.
