Staggered Starts, SY20-21:

8/17 Cohort A Freshmen Only. 8/18 Cohort B Freshmen only. 8/19 Cohort A all grade levels. 8/20 Cohort B all grade levels. 8/21 Chort A day to make up for missing September 28th Testing. 8/28 will be a Cohort A Day to make up for missing October 14th testing. Holidays puts Cohort A one day more in a live classroom than Cohort B during the first semester.

Canon City Middle School

Start Time: 1st bell at 7:50 am

Staggered Starts, SY20-21:

8/17 6th Grade only will have school all day long 7th and 8th do not attend. Students will be dropped off in the parent drop off lane as well as main st.
8/18 full day of school for all students

Harrison (Grades K-5)

Staggered Starts, SY20-21:

Harrison will have parents choose which morning (8:00-12:00 they would like their children to “slow start” (Monday 8/17, Tuesday, 8/18), then all kdg students would attend full-day on Wednesday 8/19, Thursday 8/20 and Friday 8/21. Each afternoon August 17 & 18, kindergarten teachers will hold virtual Meet and Greet with parents (also participating: admin, counselor).

McKinley Elementary School

Staggered Starts, SY20-21:

McKinley will conduct orientation meetings with all Preschool students and parents throughout the week of 8/17-8/21. First day for Preschool students is Monday 8/24.
McKinley will be doing a transitional start for Kindergarten only on Monday (8/17), Tuesday (8/18), Wednesday (8/19), and Thursday (8/20) The first day we will have all kindergartners will be Friday (8/21). Grades 1-4 will start normal on Monday, 8/17.

Mountain View Core Knowledge School
Monday-Thursday

Staggered Starts, SY20-21:

Kindergarten will do a 5 students/day slow start during the week of 8/17 and begin with a full class on 8/24.
1st-8th grade students with the last names beginning in A-L will attend 8/17. Students with last names beginning M-Z will attend 8/18. All 1st-8th grade students begin with full classes on 8/19.

Washington Elementary School
Start Time: 8:00 am

Staggered Starts, SY20-21:

Kindergarten will have a staggered start for the first two days, August 20th and 21st, with students only attending in the AM and scheduled parent meetings occuring in the PM. The first day for ALL kindergarteners will be August 24th, all day. Kindergarten teachers will call parents to determine which day students will attend.
There will be a staggered start for 1st-5th grade students for the first two days, too, with half the class attending all day on Thursday, August 20th, and the other half attending all day on Friday, August 21st. All students will report for school on Monday, August 24th.
Students in Multi-grade classrooms (Hayes and Norville) will attend as follows: 2nd and 4th grades - Monday, August 20th; 3rd and 5th grades - Friday, August 21st
