District Message

At Canon City Schools, student and staff is our top priority. As part of our continued effort to support safe and healthy learning environments, we're sharing educational materials from the Colorado Office of Gun Violence Prevention (OGVP) as required by House Bill 25-1250. 

Each year, families will recieve this information during back-to-school communications, and it will remain available here on our website for ongoing access.

What is HB25-1250?

House Bill 12-1250 is a Colorado law that requires all school districts to:

• Share official gun violence prevention materials from the Office of Gun Violence Prevention (OGVP) with K–12 families at the start of each school year.

• Post these materials on the district or school's public-facing website.
